Global Stories is a four skills global issues text for intermediate level students. Each chapter tells a first person narrative about an individual struggling with a social problem. Illustrations correspond to the narrative sentences. Topics include child soldiers, sweatshops, and bullying. A sequence of scaffolded activities gives students the chance to deeply learn the narratives. Then, students learn more about the topic via readings. Other activities include Great News in History, Country Watch, News Sharing and Thinking Deeper. To order, contact RIC Publications.
